Romans 10

Romans 10:1
Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

Paul is still addressing Judeans who were not yet born again who were going to the home churches in the first century. How do I know these Judeans were not born again? Read this verse and think about it.

1 Corinthians 10:32
Give none offence, neither to the Jews [Judeans], nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:

Men have different classifications for people and divide humanity into many groups, like nationality, culture, race and religion, but God only divides men into these three general categories. According to God, we are either Judeans, Gentiles, or church of God. The church of God comprises men and women called out from among both Judeans and Gentiles who have been born again and who have received power from on high, the gift of holy spirit. Anyone who has Christ in them is part of the church of God, the ekklēsia, the called out of God, and is no longer referred to by God as a Judean or Gentile. Therefore these Judeans God is addressing here in the home churches in the first century are not born again or they would be part of the church of God.

Very few people who come to our home churches for the first time will be born again, including the religious ones. For example, one does not get born again by confessing sins to homo priests in devilish cults like the Roman Catholic church. Neither does one get born again by believing that Jesus Christ is God. Worshipping a man as God is idolatry, so the Protestants are no better than any other religion on earth.

Ask yourself, would Paul teach people who were born again how to get born again? No, that's absurd, that's why the details on how to get born again are here in a section of scripture addressed to Judeans who were not born again. The Gentiles of course would also be learning from this, and Paul will be addressing them in the next chapter.

Romans 10:1
Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

It is interesting to note that Paul does not start with the new birth in chapter 1. He has been preparing the hearts of people through these first 10 chapters so they would be ready to believe by the time he taught them the specifics on how to receive the gift of holy spirit. This is a good example, so be patient with people, and teach. So what if they're not born again when they come to your home church? Disciples don't come ready packaged out of the world, they come in a mess looking for answers. Take your time and teach, step by step, dealing with one thing at a time. Walk by the spirit and this will all make sense. By the way, the word translated saved here is not sōzō, it is sōtēria, which means to be rescued. People imprisoned in dungeons of religion need to be rescued from them.

Romans 10:1-3
Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved [sōtēria].

For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Pentecostals, Muslims, Roman Catholics, Buddhists, Hindus, Protestants, well, perhaps not so much the Protestants, Jesuits, Pentecostals, Baptists, freemasons, satanists, and just about every other religious person on earth has a zeal for some god or other, but it is not according to knowledge. Christians today are ignorant of God's righteousness just as the Judeans were back then. People are ignorant of God's righteousness being freely available because of what Jesus Christ accomplished, and therefore they do not submit themselves to it. Everyone seems determined to do things their own way and establish their own righteousness by doing all sorts of silly works to try to earn it. Water baptism is one example of hundreds of ceremonies and rituals people perform to try to please God. Getting wet will not get you saved, it will just make you wet. Doing any kind of works to try to earn righteousness and get yourself saved is a complete and utter waste of time. Look at everything Paul has taught in the run up to Romans chapter 10 to prepare people to believe to receive the righteousness of God. There is no excuse for anyone these days being ignorant of God's righteousness.

Romans 10:4
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

If Christ is the end of the law and righteousness is now available to everyone that believes, then Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believes. This isn't complicated or difficult to understand. Everyone means everyone. It doesn't matter if you are a Roman Catholic or a Protestant, a Muslim or a Buddhist, a Pentecostal or a freemason, or any other brand of religion. It doesn't even matter if you are a jesuit, spiritualist or satanist. Christ is the end of the law to everyone that believes. Believes what? Keep reading, because Paul is about to reveal the precise details on how to receive eternal life.

Romans 10:5,6
For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.

But the righteousness which is of faith [believing] speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

Here we have the two righteousnesses contrasted side by side, one earned by works, the other given by grace. In the Old Testament, righteousness did indeed come by the law. However, Paul has shown us that not one of the Judeans managed to keep the law and that they all fell short. They stumbled at that stumblingstone. The righteousness of believing on the other hand does not come by our own works or keeping any laws, but by what Jesus Christ accomplished for us.

Romans 10:6-8
But the righteousness which is of faith [believing] speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith [believing], which we preach;

And here is is, the precise details of what we have to believe to be born again and receive the righteousness of God. This is what we have to do to receive the gift of holy spirit and become a child of the Living God with eternal life.

*drum roll*

Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved [sōzō - made whole].

These are the specific details, the step by step instructions on what we have to believe to receive the gift of holy spirit and be made whole, with body, soul and spirit. The word Lord simply means boss in our language. Jesus Christ is the head over all things to the church, so we as the church take our orders from him. When a Judean or a Gentile makes the decision to confess Jesus Christ as their Lord and believes in their heart that God raised him from the dead, they are made whole. At that moment they receive the gift of holy spirit and they become whole men, women and children with body, soul and spirit. They are no longer Judean or Gentile, they are now church of God, children of the living God with eternal life.

How can it be so easy you ask? Hey, it was far from easy. Jesus Christ was tortured, whipped, and beaten for two days and then crucified where he hung for six hours so we could have this. I have no idea how he did it. I wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes. He gave his life for us and because of what he accomplished, eternal life is now available as a gift from the heart of God to us. All we have to do is believe.

Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved [sōzō - made whole].

By the way, while we are here, making Jesus Christ our lord does not mean submitting to men in ministries, churches, or religions, otherwise known as your local temple made with hands, it means making Jesus Christ our lord. There are distinctions to this of course, where children are to submit to their believing parents, wives are to submit to their husbands in matters that relate to their marriage, and we are all to submit ourselves to our home church leaders in matters relating to our home churches, but none of this is contradictory.

For example, a family will consist of a father, a mother, and children. The wife submits to her husband not because she is stupid and docile and pathetic, but because she knows that Christ will communicate directly only to her husband in matters that relate to their marriage.

Ephesians 5:22-24
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

Now listen, and listen well, it takes strength and courage for a woman to walk with this kind of trust in a man, and that trust has to be earned. A woman should be absolutely convinced a man she is considering spending the rest of her life with is someone she can trust her heart to. How would she know that? Keep reading!

Ephesians 5:25-30
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

Still need some help deciding? Well, is he living these verses? Does he love you the way Christ loved the church? Would he put himself in harms way to protect you and your children the way Christ gave his life for the church? Does he love you as much as he loves his own body? Does he nourish you and cherish you as Christ nourished and cherished the church? If not, tell him fo fuck off and come back when he's proved himself. Whatever you do, do not marry any man who is not living the word.

Same with children. If you're living at home with shitty parents, and you're old enough to look after yourself, get the fuck out of there. The word doesn't tell children to submit to shitty parents, it tells them to submit to their parents IN THE LORD.

Ephesians 6:1-3
Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)

That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

How do you know if your parents are shitty? Well, if they are encouraging you to get a sex change and become a tranny, tell them to fuck off and go stay with your grandparents or something. As far as I'm concerned any parent who would allow their young children to be butchered by perverted criminal monsters should be executed. There are only two genders, male and female.

Genesis 1:27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

If you are born male, you are male and having sex with other men makes you a homosexual and God told Moses to tell the children of Israel to execute them. Having an operation does make make you a female, you are still a homo.

Leviticus 20:13
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Okay, back to Romans. We make Jesus Christ our lord when we walk by the spirit of Christ in us, and this isn't difficult to understand. If you go to work, you do what your boss tells you, it's that simple. The boss knows what needs to be done so we do what he says. If he's a good boss and the employees do good work, the business is profitable and everyone gets paid. Jesus Christ is the head of the church, so when we go to work to do the work of the ministry we take our orders from him. Jesus Christ is our lord, our boss when we do the work of the ministry, not a bunch of self appointed pricks at the head of some ministry or church or religion constructed by men.

When we make Jesus Christ our lord and believe in our hearts that God raised him from the dead, we receive the gift of holy spirit and we are saved, made whole. Receiving the gift of holy spirit has nothing to do with any works we perform, we simply believe. The gift of holy spirit is just that, a gift, and all we have to do to receive it is believe.

Romans 10:10-13
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

For there is no difference between the Jew [Judean] and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved [sōzō - made whole].

We cannot be saved, or made whole by doing any works, it is impossible. Being baptized in water will not make you whole. Keeping the commandments will not make you whole. Going to church every week your entire life will not make you whole. If you want to be saved, made whole, make Jesus Christ your lord and believe God raised him from the dead. If you do that you will receive eternal life as a gift from God.

Romans 10:14-16
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

This is pretty self explanatory. We have to teach or nothing happens. If you want your feet to be beautiful, get preaching, and that doesn't mean knocking doors and pissing people off, it means walking by the spirit and being ready to help people when doors open.

1 Peter 3:15
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear [respect]:

How do you get doors open? Easy, if you are living the word your life will attract attention and that will open doors for you. Be a living epistle and shine.

Philippians 2:15
That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

2 Corinthians 3:2
Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:

Perhaps you think believing is too difficult for you, or something that's beyond your reach. That's okay, Jesus Christ's disciples thought the same thing. We all do when we first come to the word.

Luke 17:5,6
And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith [believing].

And the Lord said, If ye had faith [believing] as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

How do you build your believing then? Here you go, it's easy, it's explained in the next verse. The more of the word you build into your mind, the more of the word you will live, and the more of the word you live, the more that word will filter down into your heart and the greater your believing will be. It all starts with hearing and teaching.

Romans 10:17
So then faith [believing] cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Of course, not everyone is going to believe. So what? Nothing new there. Shake the dust off your feet and move on. Find people who want to believe.

Romans 10:18-21
But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.

But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.

But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.

But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.

If people want to believe and be forgiven, receive the gift of holy spirit and have eternal life to look forward to, they can have it. If they turn their noses up at God and tell him to fuck off and ram his bible up his arse, well, that's up to them.
